public static interface VR.Fragment
Fragments are used for encapsulation of an encoded (=compressed) pixel data stream into the Pixel Data (7FE0,0010) portion of the DICOM Data Set. They are encoded as a sequence of items with Value Representation OB. (s. DICOM Part 5, Page 63ff: A.4 TRANSFER SYNTAXES FOR ENCAPSULATION OF ENCODED PIXEL DATA). Technically also the value of other attributes than Pixel Data (7FE0,0010) with a Value Representation of OB, OW, OF or UN could contain as sequence of "Data Fragments". Perhaps DICOM will make use of this possibility in future, So dcm4che already allows to put/access "Fragments" into/from other attributes than Pixel Data (7FE0,0010).
